Following the entry into force, on 25 May 2018, of European Regulation No 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, we are updating our personal data protection policy. As the data controller we collect, France Energies Marines undertakes to comply with the legal provisions in force. In particular, it is our responsibility to provide information as to the type and purpose of the processing of this data after having obtained the consent of the user and to maintain a register of processing in conformity with reality. We take all reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy and relevance of personal data in relation to the purposes for which they are processed.


Personal data is any information relating to a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly. The information we collect is used to improve the services we offer you. It is data relating to your identity: your surname, first name, civility, postal and e-mail address, telephone number (fixed and/or mobile). Some personal data that we process may also come from third party partners such as your telephone number or your profile on a social network.

  • Managing and improving our website. When you visit our website, we collect information, such as your IP address, location, the time of your visit, etc., to find out the habits of people using our site and to improve their experience.
  • Preventing and fighting against computer fraud. In order to avoid as much as possible to be a victim of spamming, hacking or other, we collect information relating to your computer equipment used for navigation and your IP address.
  • Carrying out communication actions or satisfaction surveys concerning our collaborative R&D activities and our services.

We undertake to take all necessary precautions to preserve the security of the information and in particular that it is not communicated to unauthorised persons. However, if an incident affecting the integrity or confidentiality of user information is brought to our attention, we will inform the user as soon as possible and inform him/her of the corrective measures implemented. We do not collect any “sensitive data”.

Access and communication rights regarding data

You are entitled to know if and how we are processing your personal data and to obtain disclosure thereof in an understandable format.

Response time

No matter how hard we try, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach, we will notify the users concerned so that they can take appropriate action. Our incident notification procedures take into account our legal obligations, whether at national or European level.

No personal information of the users of the website is published without their knowledge, exchanged, transferred, assigned or sold in any medium whatsoever to third parties. Only the hypothesis of the purchase of France Energies Marines and its rights would allow the transmission of the said information to the eventual purchaser who would be in turn bound by the same obligation of conservation and modification of the data towards the user of the site

What are cookies and how are they used?
